Josh Jacobs to score a touchdown (BetMGM -105)
Jacobs was huge in Week 6 for the Raiders as he gobbled up 192 total yards. It was the second most touches for Jacobs this season and in a game in which the Raiders could have a lead, Jacobs could be in line for another heavy workload. Jacobs has now caught five passes in three straight games and has rushed for 144 and 154 in the last two games. Although it’s a small sample, this is the best Jacobs has ever looked in his career across a two-game stretch. Jacobs will be at home this week versus the Texans. Jacobs has scored a touchdown in two straight games, and we are betting on him to make it three straight now.
The Texans have the leagues overall 31st ranked defense. Texans have the leagues 30th ranked rush defense. This should give the Raiders the incentive to run Jacobs as much as possible while he is hot. Another driver of Jacobs this year has been the Raiders declining his 5th year option.
This makes Jacobs a free agent at the end of the year, and it appears he is running for a contract. Houston gives up touchdowns to running backs and tight ends. Surprisingly, the Texans have only given up one touchdown to a wide receiver all season long. It’s the running backs that are killing this defense and with how Jacobs is playing, he is likely to find pay dirt.
