NFL Wild Card Weekend Sunday/Monday Actionable Stats
Expect This Buffalo Wide Receiver to Boom
The Buffalo Bills are a 13.5-point favorite against Miami as of this writing. Given the Bills penchant for big plays, they’ll probably hit a few on Sunday afternoon in a game they’re expected to coast in. The Dolphins defensive splits home vs road are pretty jarring. They allowed twice as many passing touchdowns on the road (18) than they did at home (9). They allowed opposing quarterbacks to throw for 2,423 yards in road games to just 1,859 yards when they were at home. All of this suggests Josh Allen should be in line for a big day and not everything can go to Stefon Diggs. Gabe Davis dropped a touchdown pass on a long ball last week against New England, but Davis is often Allen’s big-play target and we wouldn’t be surprised if Buffalo comes out slinging right away in an attempt to bury the Dolphins in the first half. Remember the four-touchdown and 200-yard game Davis had last year against Kansas City in the playoffs? Don’t expect that kind of production from Davis on Sunday, but he’s worth a play in your DFS lineups for sure.
Plug Your Nose on this Baltimore Wide Receiver
Admittedly, Baltimore’s path has to be a lot of JK Dobbins and a lot of defense without Lamar Jackson. However, Tyler Huntley will have to make a few plays himself if the Ravens are going to have a chance to eliminating the defending AFC Champion Bengals on Sunday night. It’s a barren group of wide receivers for the Ravens, but if you took a shot with DeMarcus Robinson in your lineups there’s a decent chance you’d be rewarded. Robinson has led Ravens WRs in snaps each of the last three weeks. He scored a touchdown in Week 16 against Atlanta. His overall production is far from staggering, but there might be enough of a rapport being built with Tyler Huntley for Robinson to be worth using at such a cheap price in DFS games this week.
A Receiver Worth a Look on Monday Night
For Dallas to be successful in Tampa Bay, Dak Prescott is going to have to bounce back. It was another strong year for Tampa against the run as the Bucs finished with the seventh ranked rushing defense in the regular season and San Francisco is the only NFC playoff team that defended the run better than the Bucs did. After weeks of Odell Beckham Jr rumors never came to fruition, Michael Gallup enters the playoffs firmly entrenched as the No. 2 receiver for the Cowboys behind CeeDee Lamb. Pro Football Focus charted Gallup for 72 targets in the 14 games he played in the 2022 regular season. That’s not bad for a No. 2 WR in an offense that has two good running backs and a more than serviceable tight end in Dalton Schultz. Gallup also scored three touchdowns in the final six regular season games as well. He should be able to eclipse at least 50 receiving yards on Monday night and if he can find the end zone again, he’d likely outperform his price point.
