Alright everyone, this is going to be my weekly piece on this site. I want to see the Week 3 lookahead lines and see if we can pounce on some better numbers before we lose them. By Sunday night, these lines are already moving. I am using FanDuel for this because they have all the games. Shop different lines to find a better price.
Jets @ Colts (-6.5, -115)
If you didn’t use the Colts as Week 1 survivor pick, this a good opportunity to use them in Week 3. The Colts play the Vikings in Week 2, and I think they cover. The key here, however, is the 6.5 line. The Jets stink, to put it plainly, and probably are coming off a physical, low-scoring game with the 49ers. I am not sure who plays for the Jets week 3 because they are beat up and the skills group stinks when healthy, too. At -6.5, now would be a good time to grab the Colts. Rivers will get another week under his belt to learn the system against a weak Jets defense.
49ers @ Giants (+6.5, -110)
I can bash the Giants no problem. The issue is, however, is that their offensive line is just bad. They play at the Chicago Bears in Week 2 while the 49er's play at the New York Jets. The 49er's strength is still on the defensive line, and they will still be able to manhandle this Giants o-line in Week 3. The 49er's left for their Week 2 game on Saturday, play a game Sunday, and then travel to West Virginia for the next week of practice. They then play at the New York Giants the following week. Case in point: the 49er's will be in an unfamiliar bubble with no friends, family, or ability to go out. San Francisco will struggle Week 2 with so many injuries, and the Giants +6.5 is the only way I can look now. The 49er's will be a better play later, after a close game with Jets. If you want the Giants, grab them right now.
Cowboys @ Seahawks (-3, -115)
This line is already looking like it will shift to -3.5 Seahawks. Dallas' defense lost another CB for Week 2 in a very weak secondary to start with. The defense is just overall very weak in general. Dallas also has issues at RT, playing a 3rd stringer there right now. This line of -3 seems low to me, especially if the Seattle Seahawks win Sunday night with the world watching against the New England Patriots. I like the -3 a lot here, and I believe Russell Wilson will eat Dallas' defense alive.
